A straight-up bet places your chip on a single number. It pays 35 to 1 if that exact number hits. Highest payout on the table but also the lowest probability — roughly 2.7 percent on a European single-zero wheel.

European roulette uses a wheel with 37 pockets — numbers 1 through 36 plus a single zero. The single zero gives a house edge of about 2.7 percent, compared to 5.26 percent on an American double-zero wheel. Most of our live tables follow this format.

A neighbour bet covers a chosen number and the two numbers on either side of it on the physical wheel — five numbers total. You place it using the racetrack layout. It is a shortcut for sector betting without manually finding each number on the grid.

The zero pocket is what gives the house its edge. When the ball lands on zero, all simple outside bets like red/black or odd/even lose unless a specific rule like La Partage applies. It is the one number that does not belong to any outside-bet group.

Inside bets are placed on specific numbers or small groups of adjacent numbers within the numbered grid. Splits, streets, corners and straight-ups are all inside bets. They carry higher payouts than outside bets but hit less often per spin.

Auto-roulette is a live table with no human dealer. A mechanical arm spins the ball on a real wheel at timed intervals — usually every fifteen to twenty seconds. Results are still physics-based; the only difference is there is no host speaking to you between rounds.

A column bet covers twelve numbers in one of the three vertical columns on the betting grid. It pays 2 to 1. Zero is not included in any column, so if zero hits, column bets lose. It is one of the simplest ways to cover a third of the board.
